Sleep Apnea solutions in Newport Beach, California
What is Sleep Apnea?
Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that causes a person to stop breathing for brief periods during sleep. The most common form of sleep apnea is obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), which occurs when the muscles in the back of the throat fail to keep the airway open during sleep, causing a person to snore loudly or gasp for air as they struggle to breathe. This can lead to a disruption in the quality of sleep and cause symptoms such as excessive daytime sleepiness, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating.
Sleep apnea can also increase the risk of other health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.
